Magical Books is a not-for-profit organisation set up with the clear aim of promoting healthy reading habits/literacy among the Nigerian populace. This is targeted at helping individuals (young and old) discover the magic in books
Mission
1. Ensure that children and youths in schools understand the reason for reading and embrace its role in making them social change agents.
2. Educate and inform young adults/ parents to embrace literacy for themselves, their work, and children.
3. To encourage, motivate and inspire children, youths and adults to read books that will develop their minds, widen their horizon, build a better Nigeria and improve the world.
4. To bring back a self sustained child who can dream and act based on what he has read.
Description
Presently Magical Books operates through a network of volunteers. The network consists of passionate youths who share a common cause, interest, dream and goals to Magical Books. This unique style is being employed because this is the only way through which we can reach a lot of people with our message. The plan is to build a network in each state. Join us!
Products
1. Advisory services: Customers are advised on book choices through motivational messages , writing of book reviews and presenting reviews at seminars and workshops.
2. Book sales: This is on a one-on-one and a large scale basis at schools, organisations, religious institutions, seminars and workshops.
3. Customer Follow up: Customers are followed up after purchase of books till they are done with them.
4. Presenting talks in schools and organisations.
5. Organising book readings, fairs and clubs.
6. Organising special projects that encourage people to read and dream big. This cuts across different fields.
7. Personal development consultancy services: Magical Books also offers consultancy services to individuals. This service is for individuals who want the most out of their lives but aren't sure about what to do, what steps to take or how to go about their plans.
